Classes

Well hello there :)
First week of school is over, and it was pretty bad/ good. I love being with all my friends every day even though it is school. But the waking up at six part is the one that sucks. That and the fact that my classes are definitely not going to be easy. Here's how it goes:
  • English- for the first time ever I have an actual English teacher. I've never learned grammar before, so this year will definitely be interesting. As of right now I love the class even though it is definitely not the easiest.
  • Pre-Calc- my old chess teacher is my Pre-calc teachers, which means he loves me already which is good because that will probably be one of my hardest classes.
  • AP Chemistry- I think this will be my hardest class even though the teacher is amazing.
  • AP European- the class that I'm most excited for. It's not going to be that hard because I'm good at history, but I'm a little worried about the AP test
  • Spanish II- that class is a joke
  • Guitar- well, I can't read music so we'll see how that goes...

Also, I miss soccer, I've been watching all the games, but it's not as fun when I'm stressing about school at the same time.

The Adventures Of The Dinosaur Cookies

School has officially began, and so have the homework assignments. In English we are studying sentence structure and one of our assignments was to write a story using simple, complex, compound and compound-complex sentences. I found my story rather entertaining, so I think I should post it here:

I baked dinosaur cookies. Nadine and Maya helped me too. I placed the cookies in the oven and waited.  I checked on the cookies and they were baking. We took out the cookies; they were not ready. Suddenly they came alive; we screamed and Nadine ran under the table. Eventually we came out of our hiding spots, I looked at the cookies. The dinosaurs were eating the kitchen counter while we stared. The counter, when we looked closely, was made of chocolate brownies. While we stared, the cat appeared in the room and she sniffed the dinosaurs. She started hissing at the cookies, as they diminished the kitchen; we feared they would get into a fight.  The dinosaur cookies scattered all over the floor, and they ran out the open door, because of that we never saw them again.

School

starts on Monday.
I'm excited because:
  • I get to see my best friends every day, have almost every class with them.
  • I get to share lunch with everyone while making perverted jokes/ throw food at each other.
  • I get to take European history.
  • I get to learn how to play guitar.
I'll definitely miss:
  • the fact that the most important thing in the world was what soccer player got transferred to what soccer club, and the fact that Manchester was winning games.
  • staying up until 3 o'clock and reading soccer news
  • waking up at 2 in the afternoon
  • waking up at 10 in the morning to watch soccer and then going back to sleep
  • watching tennis all day

Sports writing

Ever since I was little I knew what I wanted to be when I grew up. After watching too many episodes of a cheesy TV show about policemen with bikes I wanted to work for the police. After I watched Legally Blond I wanted to be a lawyer, the lawyer thing went on for a while actually, until in fifth grade I realized I hate public speaking and you kind of have to be good at that if you want to be a lawyer. Since then I knew that there was only one (or two) things I am good at: science and math.

Since fifth grade I decided that I was going to be a mathematician (but not a teacher), physicist, or some other kind of scientist. Basically, I wanted to go into serious study business. Until about a month ago...

My obsession with sports began in 2006, but that was only during the World Cup in Germany. My real obsession with sports began last year. Sports is just the one thing that relaxes me, the one thing that I really like to talk about, and write about. And last week it hit me: I want to be a sports writer or a sports journalist. I'm too old to play any kind of sport, so that is my only chance to actually do something that I love.

I decided to create a new blog where I can only talk about sports, and see how that goes. As of right now it's going really well, and I love writing about all the different sports I watch. I realize that having a career as a sports journalist won't be as easy as creating a blog online, and sitting in front of the TV watching sports, taking notes and eating ice cream.

I know that my parents will not approve of my new aspiration, but hey, who cares, I love sports and maybe this will be the thing I want to do!
Here is the blog, in case you want to read it: http://shetalks.sportsblognet.com/
BTW, premier league season starts tomorrow and I iz excited!!!

Glory, glory, Man United!
