The day that Gaby died (Song is sang to the tune of American pie)

    Current mood: DAHDIAHSKJHKAJSDH KAFGD

To sum that up I'm freaking out right now. I'm having a complete mental break down. My AP test is in two weeks. TWO WEEKS and I'm going to fail. I don't know anything, arghhhhhh.

I have been carrying an AP Princeton review book with me everywhere (and when I say everywhere, I really mean it). One of my friends decided that it would be funny if he stole the book from me during Chemistry and I didn't notice and I freaked out because I thought that I had lost it somewhere and I was on the verge of tears and then he gave it back to me...

So, I don't want to spend my last blog talking about failing my AP test, so I shall discuss something else. BRB *freezes time and goes off to finish studying*

*particle man, particle man, doing the things a particle can. What's he like? It's not important." I love that song :) Well, I didn't finish studying but I was falling asleep on top of my homework, so I think I should finish this before I pass out.

Basically, today was I pretty good day if you don't count the number of times I freaked out about the AP test. We had an awards ceremony in my school and my friends and I (a total of six of us) got a special award for getting straight A's all nine weeks, and they were pretty cool-looking too. They looked like the cubes that they make with the 3-D black and white pictures in them. So I was pretty happy about that, oh and I got to miss Spanish class because of the awards ceremony, which was pretty nice too.

I just feel so unoriginal today, I mean I should be writing some great masterpiece thing, and all I can think about is how comfortable my bed is, and how I want to go to sleep. I promise that tomorrow I will write my how-to guide, and I hope that it will be pretty funny and make up for this so called "blog". Oh, yeah I just remembered that I was going to talk about swine flu. What's the deal with that? On CNN (yes I watch CNN, don't judge me, I love the news) the last time I checked the number dead was 257. I'm kind of worried 'cause I remember the panic that took over Europe when we had the mad cow disease over there, it was pretty freaky.

I remember that someone actually told me that gummy bears were made out of whale bones and you could get mad cow disease from them. I think I was in like 3rd grade or something, but I remember that I really freaked out and I didn't eat gummy bears for the longest time.

By the way they started selling Scooby Snacks at the vending machines at my school and they are amazing.

Oh and if you want to follow my real blog after BEDA, this is it:  http://bulgarianmemory.blogspot.com/

Memes, Offices, Manchesters and Bananas

As you can see from that title there shall be four things that will be discussed in this blog, after which I might go off and ramble about some other things.

Let us begin to discuss The Office shall we? *looks around at imaginary people nodding* I just finished watching the fourth season of The Office. I was supposed to be studying for a math test for tomorrow, but I'm good at math, so screw it. I was kind of disappointed by stuff that didn't happen, and stuff that did happen and quite disturbed by things that I never wanted to see happen *tries to stop from giving away spoilers* Ok, so basically Jim sees Pam and Dwight hooking up, and he gets Angela pregnant and then he decides that he is gay and jumps off a cliff.* I mean come on that is so not fair. I really have a thing for Jim, I mean he is really cute, and yeah he has big ears and a big nose, but he is completely adorable. (A Libertines song called Up the Bracket just came on iTunes and it starts really weird and I freaked out and almost dropped my laptop.)

I promised you a review yesterday, and I will give you one. I don't think that any of my BEDA buddies are soccer fans, so I will try to keep this short. Basically Manchester United had to play Arsenal for the semi finals of the Champions League (it's kind of a big deal). Manchester has been having a rough time the last couple of games, but they played brilliantly this time. Yeah, they did win by one 1-0, but their defence and attack was top notch. I was really happy because I was freaking out after watching them play with Porto, which was a very sad picture. They have one more game against Arsenal and if they win, or draw that game they will playing at the final(against Chelsea hopefully). Generally the game wasn't that exciting, but almost every soccer game makes me really excited so yeah :)

Crap, I just saw that we were supposed to write a how-to guide today. I'll do it tomorrow, or the day after tomorrow sometime this week.

Next thing is bananas. *pretends that this is not random at all* But I was just thinking about this today, and bananas are awesome! (no sexual innuendo intended) I mean, just the word bananas is so much fun to say, and type and write! Bananas should definitely rule the world, then we would all be yellow and cool-looking and we would dance to peanut butter-jelly time. That would be the most amazing thing ever.

And last thing was memes. This one was posted by Johnny Durham and I though it was amazing so you should do it too :P

# of times I got hit with a ball in the head today: 2. This is like a new record for me, I mean usually I would be lucky if I can get away with three balls (ha,ha). Yay I just got a text message *feels special and looks at it* Ohh it was actually one of those cute friendship things <3 class="blsp-spelling-error" id="SPELLING_ERROR_6">goodie goodie (I'm not going to discuss that). I am the only one in my group that answers the questions and we always win. And now we finally started learning about Russian history and stuff and ever question that she asked me, I mean my group was about Russia. You are probably wondering why that makes me mad. See, when I tell people that I am Eastern European they immediately think that I either

a. an Russian or b. Speak Russian. Neither one of those is true even though I do understand Russian. I did answer all the questions that she asked, but come on did she have to ask me only about Russian history.

I think that I have rambled enough for today. Goodnight <3

P.S. *I need Harry Potter like a gryndilow needs water and as Saturday approaches my need grows* Yep, this song just came on iTunes, oh how I love iTunes shuffle.

*just in case you didn't catch the sarcasm in there, that did not actually happen. Or did it?

This is not a title.

Hello peoples of the planet Earth! Today's blog comes to you with limited commercial interruptions, and it is in the form of a list, because lists are awesome.

1. Excuses
Well, I happened to miss another one of our BEDA chats :( I have an excuse, which is the fact that I only check my blog ones a day, so I didn't see the comment I got on page until today, oh and also I had to study for my AP World History test (what a surprise), which I have basically been doing for the past couple of weeks, and I'm basically freaking out *jumps off an imaginary cliff*

2. Review things
So, I was planning on writing a review of the Chelsea v. Barcelona game that was played today for the UEFA Champions League semifinals, but as you can see I am not doing that. I hoped that Chelsea and Barca would put on a good game, or at least something worth reviewing, but the entire game was basically Barcelona attacking and Chelsea defending. It ended with a stupid 0-0 draw *yawns and throws soccer ball at TV*

3. Winning things
I don't know if you remember but last week or something I posted a blog where I discussed me presenting a power point about social networking. That power point was entered into a Youth Fair competition in Miami Dade, and apparently I got second place. The prize that you get is money, and I got.... wait for it... *drum roll* four dollars. Yep, I spent hours working on that power point and I got second place and four dollars. Oh, yeah and first place winner got five dollars. I know we are in an economic recession, but come on!

4. Getting nominated for things
My Spanish teacher nominated me for the Spanish award at high school, which I think is pretty cool, and kind of weird. I kind of don't like Spanish at all, and I really don't want to learn it, and I'm really bad at actually speaking it. But the teacher likes me because I suck up to her and I do anything she asks me to do. Then my friend told me that my English teacher is considering me for the English award. That is AMAZING! My teacher is amazing, but her class is really hard, and even though I have a 96 in it (which I think is the highest grade in my class) I'm not really good at English. I mean I am a decent writer, and I really try my hardest, but I obviously don't have a very good vocabulary and  my grammar is far from perfect considering that English is not my first language and I only moved to America four years ago. I mean I was really happy just knowing that she considered me for the award.

5. Done?
I think that this is it for today. I'm going to post my review of the Manchester v. Arsenal game tomorrow if it's worth to write about. I'm going to go study for AP World now.

P.S. you get 10 imaginary points if you can guess which surrealist artist inspired the title of this blog. Hint: his name is Рене Магрит
Goodbye

I want to Mrs. Weasley :P

I'm sorry that I ramble so much for the first answer, I just tend to talk a lot if you haven't noticed in my previous blogs.

Oh, and I have officially decided that everyday I have volleyball I will try to keep a count of how many times I get hit with a ball that day and post it on here.
# of times I got hit with a ball today: 3

What are your favorite bands (and artists) and songs, and why?
WARNING: This answer may be long, boring, and may contain rambling. OK, so I have lots of favorite bands and for your enjoyment I shall list a few right here: The Beatles, Queen, The Killers, AC/DC, Blue Skies, The Fratellis, Julia Nunes, Boys Like Girls, ABBA, Foreigner, Coldplay, Hank Green, Jason Mraz, John Lennon, The Libertines, Marie Digby, Mhazz, Owl City, NeverShoutNever!, Plain White T's, and Red Hot Chili Peppers

Songs: Acid Jazz Singer, Chelsea Dagger and Flathead by The Fratellis, Breakfast at Tiffany's by Deep Blue Something, Let it Be and Yesterday by the Beatles, The Show Must Go On by Queen, Mr. Brightside by The Killers, Remembering Sunday by All Time Low, Untitled, Happy Friday on the Moon, Another Day Another Motorway by Blue Skies, Dear Vienna by Owl City, Into the Sunshine, Balloons by Julia Nunes, I is for Igloo by Mhazz

Now, I mainly want to talk about three bands, that I really like: The Beatles, Queen and Blue Skies.
The Beatles are just amazing, their music is so simple, but intricate at the same time. I started listening to their songs last year and I fell in love with them *sings along to Mrs. Nerimon which is playing in the background* and since then I have seen the movie Across the Universe about 12 times, I own all their albums, have their posters on my wall, and can sing along to almost all of their songs. *I want to be Mrs. Nerimon, so we can build a little house with a lawn...* Now, Queen I have liked for a really long time, I mean who hasn't heard of We Are the Champions?! Freddie Mercury has the most amazing voice ever (Ok, I have to stop italicizing things now) and the lyrics to their songs are amazing (thesaurus please?) and hilarious. I mean have you heard of Fat Bottom Girls? Possibly one of the best songs ever written! Blue Skies is the only modern "band" (even though it's made up of only one person, Dave) that makes my top three favorite bands. First, that guy is brilliant, and when I say that I mean it. Like seriously he can play the guitar, piano, drums and basically any other instrument ever invented, and he can sing, AND he is British! I mean all of this= a person that is made of 100% awesome. Oh, and the songs that he writes are brilliant, I mean they are actually deep and marvelous (totally went onto thesaurus.com to look up a synonym of amazing), and he has a lovely voice. OMG I just realized how fricking long this is... I'm sorrys <3

What is your Meyers-Briggs personality test result, and do you agree with it/what does it say about you that you agree with?

I scored ENFP meaning Extroverted, Intuitive, Feeling, and Perceiving. I guess it's kind of true because I am a very outgoing and social person and I love to hang out with my friends. I'm not very intuitive though, but sure I guess it's not very far from the truth. Btw, I love taking personality tests!

If you could go anywhere in the world during any time period, where would you go and why?
I would probably go to a dance club in the 80s. I have a big thing for the 80s, the flashy clothing, the weird hairstyles, the awesome music... I mean come on you get to wear lime green tights with a Blondie T-shirt, have purple hair, and dance to Dancing Queen and no one will think you are weird!

If you could be any character, from any book, who would you be and why?
I would want to be Hermione. I know this is kind of like a stereotype character to chose for any Harry Potter fan girl, but I just really like her. I mean she is insanely smart (people have told me I remind them of her when I go insane in history because I know all the answers and I look like this:

Anyway, I really do like her, and she is a loyal friend, and although she is a bit irrational and bossy at times, she's still awesome. Oh and lets see , here is a list for you:
  • She is Harry Potter's best friend
  • She was Victor Krum's girlfriend
  • She gets to punch Draco Malfoy in the face
  • She gets to make out with Ron
  • She gets to MARRY Ron. I mean who wouldn't want to marry him?!
Ok, so this has been way too long... It's nine o'clock and I think I'm going to go to sleep because I haven't had a sufficient amount of sleep in the past two weeks.

Goodnight <3

Penguin dentists and such

Today's assignment was to write a story based on a picture. My story is (again) an assignment that I did for English where we were supposed to combine words and write sentences describing the adventures of a penguin/dentist. So here is the story (note the obvious Kurt Vonnegut reference).

The peniguin siwaddled while reading his dendix. He wasn't paying attention and leddled into the door. Spassionately he kicked the door. The door swung back hitting the penguin who siledaisically was flung onto the petunias and was run over by a walnana. So it goes.

Glossary: siwaddle- silently+waddle
dendix- dentist+appendix
leddled-leap+waddle
spassionately- silently+passionately
siledaisically-silently+ lackadaisically
walnana- walrus+banana

On a more normal note, today I got a hair cut. I usually get a hair cut with this Bulgarian lady, and either my mom or dad are in the room so they are making small talk with her, and I don't have to talk at all. Well this time they weren't there 'cause they were too busy partying and I had to go by myself. So, I'm sitting there and it was this awkward silence because well, I have nothing to talk about, and I guess she wasn't very much in the mood to talking to me. So, I had to endure half an hour of the most awkward silence ever. That's all I have to say for today.

Goodnight <3

Hall of Memories

Obviously, I have issues with blogging on weekends. It's not like I don't have the time, I definitely have that, I just... um... don't find the time to do it until 1:36 am. I always stay up really late on weekends and that makes me really mad considering the fact that I don't do anything else beside waste my time on the internet

Anyway, so today I had an awesome day with my friend. We attempted to have a Harry Potter marathon, but we kind of just ended up watching the fifth movie. We were going to watch the fourth movie after but then we wanted to have dinner and then we were singing Beatles songs, and that led us to watching Across the Universe. I don't think I have mentioned this before, but I am a huge Beatles fangirl, I mean they are my all time favorite band, they are just made of so much awesome! Across the Universe is one of my favorite movies, I know that the plot is really predictable and shallow, but the music is sooo amazing (And Jim Sturgess is really cute).

So, today's challenge/ assignment thing was to write a creative story/poem thing (look at my great vocabulary!) So, me being the lazy person that I am, I will just post a story that I wrote for English this year, it's actually my first blog post on me blog on blogger (see how I used me instead of my? I totally want to be British). It's not a fictional story, it was a journal assignment called Hall of Memories where you were supposed to retell a memory as if it's a movie, so here it is:

I walked slowly through the misty corridor. A strange feeling passed over me. It was a feeling of familiarity, a feeling that I’ve been here before, but at the same time I felt as though I shouldn’t be here. Gray, office-looking doors appeared at my side. Instead of name tags they all had pictures on them, picture of a little girl as she stuck her finger behind a door, and the door was shut, a picture of a little girl dancing on stage and falling on her face, a picture of a six year old girl clutching a Harry Potter book, a picture of a not-so-little 11 year old girl as she rode a bike for the first time, and the last door had a picture of a smiling boy. It was a familiar picture; a picture I’ve seen way too many times, a picture that no matter how many times I looked at I felt the same melancholy, sad feeling wash over me. It was no different this time, as I stared at the picture and reluctantly reached for the door, opening it. For a moment I felt like Harry when he entered Dumbledore’s memories as I entered my own. As I pushed the door open I walked into a familiar room.

It was my grandmother’s house. A little girl was kneeling on the bed; her hair tied up in piggy tails, her tiny feet dangling off the side of the bed, she was staring at the same picture of a smiling boy in black and white. Realizing the little girl was the five year old me, I followed her closely as she stood up from the bed and ran out the room. The room was a step lower than the kitchen, which the girl had to cross in order to get to the other room. I watched the girl as she ran toward the kitchen and fell flat on her face as she forgot about the step. As if nothing had happened the little girl got up, and walking slower, continued to the other room.  It was a room with an ugly bright orange bed cover, a room I had always despised for some reason, and in that room there was a picture frame with the same boy in it. Again as his picture hung on the wall; he smiled at me, his black and white smile, trapped in the black frame. I noticed how big his ears were. The picture slowly faded away and another one came into view.

A boy and a girl were sitting on the floor, ignoring the chairs next to them, were looking at a picture of the same boy.“Who is he?” the boy, my cousin (even though at that time we thought we were brother and sister), asked. “I don’t know,” the seven year old I answered, “but he makes me sad.”For some unknown reason both of us were afraid to ask our parents about the mysterious boy. Why was he in both of our grandmothers’ houses, why was he black and white and why did he never come out of that picture? The picture dispersed again as another one zoomed in.

A boy was sitting on an ugly orange chair and was flipping through the TV channels; a girl lay lazily on the bed, staring at a picture of a boy. When the boy, my cousin again, was finished flipping through all six of the channels on TV, he turned it off, disappointed as always. Both of us were much older now. I was thirteen, my hair was no longer black, but brown, and my cousin and I were no longer convinced that we were siblings. I was staring out the window at my grandma as she chased the chickens around the yard, trying to get them inside their little house. “We should ask,” my cousin said suddenly, turning to me. “Ask what?” I answered confused. “Who he was.  The boy.” I didn’t say anything, as I watched my grandma walk in the house. She was an old, fat woman with a kind smile; she was the kind of woman that fed you immense amounts of food even if you say you aren’t hungry. I turned to her and finally asked the dreaded question about the boy in the picture. She looked at both my cousin and I before answering slowly. “This is Ivan,” she said as she sat down on a chair and looked at the picture of the mysterious boy. “He was your mom’s brother,” she continued, without taking her eyes off the picture. “Was? Wait, what do you mean was?” I asked, not sure if I wanted to hear the story anymore. “He was a nice boy, “my grandma continued. “He played guitar, he sang and he danced, everyone in town loved him. He was one of those perfect children, he helped old ladies carry their groceries home, and he was top of the class, always getting A’s, complete opposite of your mother. She was always mean to him, she was the young one, and she was the only girl. She always got him in trouble, your mother, she was of the evil kind,” grandma smiled, not taking her eyes off the picture. “Your mother, she was always breaking things, getting in trouble and blaming it on her brother, but he never protested, he never told on her.”

“What happened to him?” my cousin asked. “There was an earthquake in 1979, one of the strongest earthquakes Bulgaria has ever experienced. It happened on a really hot day in May. It struck at around four o’clock in the afternoon, both of us were sleeping, and your mother was out playing with your aunt. Everything started shaking, I didn’t know what to do, I jumped out of bed, screaming for Ivan. I woke him up, scared him to death almost. After the shock of the earthquake everything started. The constant headaches, the weakness that took over him, he wasn’t the energetic boy he was before. We took him to hospitals all over the country, and they told us there was nothing they could do. This was one of the rarest cases they had ever seen. He had leukemia, and two months after the earthquake, at the age of 14 he died.” The scene faded out and I was back at the misty corridor.

Midnight blogging

Hi... um lets pretend that this blog isn't late *pretends*
So, I'm going to skip yesterday's theme about current events because that would take me a while, and I would have to do some research. Considering that I love talking and arguing about politics there might be a huge chance that I will get into an argument with myself (happens quite often...) and just ramble on for pages. Instead, I will just tell you about my not-as-hell-week-as-Sarah's.

I had lots of trouble with going to sleep this week, and I blame it all on The Office and the Internet. I mean I have serious procrastinating issues. Sometimes I know that I have to do work, and I'm telling myself that I have to stop watching The Office (or that amazing soccer game, OMG Arshavin, OK, I won't talk about soccer, I won't talk about soccer *explodes*) but I still don't do it. Like yesterday, I had to do math homework for two sections and write a lab report for chemistry, but considering it was early release I decided to go out with my friends at the beach. That was amazing by the way, I had lots of fun playing volleyball with my best friends <3 Oh, and some random dudes from Chicago walked up to our group and wanted to play with us, and they were hitting on some of my friends, but they didn't like me cause I had an attitude :P I tend to have a really big attitude when I'm talking to people that piss me off, or people that I just don't like. Anyway, so that was really fun, but I didn't go to sleep until 12:30 and I almost fell asleep in Chem today, so that wasn't such a good thing.

And my AP World History teacher is still giving us quizzes every day (that reminds me I have to study for the one on Monday) and we are still only going over the early Renaissance Era. I really like history, but I like more modern history, like the Cold War and Communism and the War on Terror are my specialities, or basically anything that has lots of politics involved (I like to argue with people a lot), so I'm not really into the whole Renaissance thing.

Anyway, so today after school I had to take the bus home, and getting from school to my house takes an hour and a half (including walking an waiting), and then I had fifteen minutes to get ready and clean my room and go and catch the same bus so I could go over my friend's hou play the steel drums at her school and it was really awesome, and then I got to hang out with her, and we had a fake pillow fight and then we made stupid Harry Potter references. Which reminds me that tomorrow I'm hanging out with her and we are having a Harry Potter movie marathon, and we're making cookies! Yay!

Oh, and I've been in lots of pain for the past two weeks, my problem is that I have a really high pain tolerance and I usually don't tell people that I'm in pain until I can't get out of bed. My neck has been hurting a lot, and sometimes the pain would stop and then I would feel like someone is stabbing me at the side of my neck and it would start again. I asked my mom to give me a massage today and it really hurt, but I didn't really help, it just hurts ever more, oh and I had a sunburn so that massage was really painful.

Sorry, if this has been really long and boring, but I kind of wanted to write about everything I cared about that happened this week *tries to contain herself from talking about soccer*... I actually really am considering doing BEDM because I like the whole blogging thing, but I probably wouldn't be able to do it every day 'cause my AP World history test is in three weeks *freaks out and hides under bed covers*

Oh, and my question for Monday is What's are your favorite bands and songs, and why.

Goodnight <3
I'm sorry I couldn't contain myself... But the Arsenal game against Liverpool was AMAZING. That's all I'm going to say, I promise...
